SSC GD Answer Key 2024 Released, Download and Check Objection Process

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release the tentative SSC GD Answer Key 2024 for the Constable Exam 2024 in late March or early April. The answer key will be available on the official website ssc.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the exam held from February 20 to March 7, 2024 can download the shift-wise answer key PDFs and cross-check their responses.

Downloading the SSC GD Answer Key 2024

  1. To download the SSC GD answer key 2024, candidates need to follow these steps:Visit the official website ssc.gov.in
  2. Click on the “Answer Key” link on the homepage
  3. Select the relevant answer key link for SSC GD Constable Exam 2024
  4. Enter the login credentials (Registration Number and Password)
  5. The answer key PDF will be displayed
  6. Download and match the responses

The answer key will contain details like the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date and time, exam venue, section-wise questions with correct answer options, and the candidate’s responses. It will also mention the SSC GD exam marking scheme.

Raising Objections on SSC GD Answer Key 2024

Candidates unsatisfied with any answer can challenge the SSC GD answer key 2024 by paying a fee of Rs. 100 per question. The objection window is will remain open for 4-5 days after the answer key release.

  1. To raise objections, follow these steps:Log in to the official website using credentials
  2. Click on the “Challenge Answer Key” link
  3. Select the question(s) which you are going to challenge
  4. Pay the objection fee of Rs. 100 per question
  5. Submit the challenge with proper reasoning

Only online objections raised through the official website will be considered. Objections through any other mode like email, letter, application etc. will not be entertained.

The SSC will scrutinize all the objections before finalizing the answer keys. Commission will decide the final answer of every question and that will be final decision.

SSC GD Exam Analysis and Expected Cut-Offs

The SSC GD exam conducted from February 20 to March 7, 2024 for filling up 26,146 vacancies across various forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR and SSF. Based on the level of difficulty of the exam and previous year trends, the expected SSC GD cut-off marks for 2024 are as follows:

  • General Category: 70-75
  • OBC Category: 65-70
  • SC/ST/EWS Category: 60-65

These cut-off scores are just rough estimates and may vary depending on various factors like the number of applicants, difficulty level of the paper, reservation criteria, and the final answer key.

The cut-offs will available category-wise and force-wise after finalizing the answer key and evaluating all the objections raised by candidates.

Re-Exam for Certain Venues/Shifts

The SSC has decided to conduct a re-exam on March 30, 2024 for candidates who appeared at certain exam venues/shifts/dates where there were suspected irregularities or technical glitches during the original exam.

Only those candidates who had appeared for the computer-based exam earlier will be allowed to take the re-exam. Their better of the two scores (original and re-exam) will be considered for preparing the final merit list.

The list of affected venues/shifts/dates for the re-exam has been notified on the official website ssc.gov.in.

SSC GD Result and Merit List 2024

After finalizing the answer key and evaluating all the objections, the SSC will prepare the final merit list for the GD Constable posts based on the scores obtained by candidates.

The merit list will be published on the website containing details like roll numbers, names and marks scored by the qualified candidates. It will be prepared category-wise and force-wise as per the prescribed reservation criteria.

Candidates whose roll numbers are present in the merit list will be considered qualified for appearing in the subsequent rounds of Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination conducted by the respective forces.

The SSC GD result is expected to be declared in April/May 2024, though the commission has not announced any specific date yet.

Candidates are advised to keep checking ssc.gov.in regularly for all the latest updates and announcements regarding the SSC GD result 2024.In case of a tie in scores, the following criteria will be used to resolve it sequentially until the tie is broken:

  1. Marks scored in Part A of the computer-based exam
  2. Marks scored in Part B
  3. Older candidates will be given preference based on date of birth
  4. Alphabetical order of names
